Considering uncontrollably rising fuel costs, Australian Prime Minister John Howard announced that his government will provide car owners up to $2000 if they decide to convert their vehicles to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from August 14 2006.
The Federal Government decided it will provide motorists a $2000 grant to convert their vehicle to LPG, while those buying new LPG-run vehicles will receive $1000.
LPG is a decidedly cheaper way to run one’s vehicle with the average price per litre being half that of Regular Unleaded petrol.
